Default Through Inflation

Charles A.E. Goodhart, professor of Banking and Finance at the London School of Economics, argues here that credit ratings to be meaningful shouldn't just include the risk of formal default, but also the risk of default through inflation and the currency depreciation associated with it. This is an argument that I have made before, but it is nice to see that more people are getting it.
