Estonia's President Attacks Krugman

A reader has tipped me that Estonia's President Toomas Hendrik has on his twitter-account attacked Paul Krugman after Krugman in a recent blog post .tried to dismiss Estonia's recovery because it happened after a depression-like slump (I analyzed this argument here in response to another Keynesian). Hendrick is also upset about how Krugman previously called Estonia a "wasteland".

Let's sh*t on East Europeans: their English is bad, won't respond & actually do what they've agreed to & reelect govts that are responsible.

But yes, what do we know? We're just dumb & silly East Europeans. Unenlightened. Someday we too will understand. Nostra culpa.

Guess a Nobel in trade means you can pontificate on fiscal matters & declare my country a "wasteland". Must be a Princeton vs Columbia thing

Let's write about something we know nothing about & be smug, overbearing & patronizing: after all, they're just wogs: krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/06/06/est…

Personally, I prefer a less emotional and more fact filled response to Krugman and others, like the one I wrote, but then again twitter doesn't allow lengthy arguments (that's the main reason why I haven't joined twitter), and it is still interesting and refreshing to see the President of a country responding to Krugman's misleading writings about his country.
